Things do do in Zentai

Give your friends a call, they will love to hear your voice. Photo: Suya-Zentai

So, now you have zipped up in your suit and you are all tight and shiny... what's next?
If you don't just want to lounge or play with yourself here are some ideas of thing you can do inside your apartment or house:

Thigs do do alone:
  • Easy chores that can be done with limited visibility, like cleaning the dishes or vacuum clean
  • Watch a whole movie, preferably one you have seen already. Just have a screen big enough (or sit close) to get the enjoyment.
  • Excercise. A exercise bike would be great, but even some crunches and light dumbells would be ok (you don't want to rip your gloves or be transported to a hospital after an injury wearing zentai)
  • Sing, play instruments (many instruments have some glove related limitations, but not all)
  • Meditation/yoga/stretching
  • Listen to music. A nice idea would be to put some earbuds under your hood
  • If you like the music, why not dance?
  • Have a nap. We all need sleep
  • Read & surf the web. Right. You can read if you have hood thin enough end use computer screen for reading (adjust the font size to be big enough)
  • Have a bath or a shower. Cleanliness is important
  • Make or answer some phone calls. Try to act normal :)
  • Dictate. Make notes of your thoughts, may they be an idea for a new book or a grocery list.
  • Self Bondage. Make your a little helpless by yourself. Be careful!
  • Make art. How would a painting made while wearing a zentai look to the naked eye?

You don't have to be a great singer, in zentai everybody sounds great. Photo: Marcy Anarchy(?)

Things to do with a partner:
  • Give or receive a massage
  • Bondage games
  • have sex (of course!)
  • Photographing or filming on video eachother
  • Playing cards (there is special cards available for us zentai-ists)
  • Have a meaningful conversation

Getting your chores done while wearing your favorite zentai - what could be better?

M0re ideas and comments welcome!

Sleeping in Zentai (part I)

This image is from Fets-Fash.com, they sell zentai suits, but also zentai bedsheets, pillowcases and such - for the slippery dreamers.

Here are some of the problems that I have encountered when I have tried to sleep wearing a lycra hood:

Nose hurts
Hoods tend to press the nose quite a bit and as bad as the pressure is the friction that propably could even cause blisters on one's nose.
Possible solutions: a more loose-fitting hood of thinner and more elastic fabric. A rubber(?) piece that could be inserted in the nostrils, with tubes for breathing (no idea where one could be obtained). An anatomically sewn hood would be great if it didn't leave seam marks on the face.

Too much excitement

I get quite excited when I put on a hood. It just gets worse (or better, if you like) if I add a blindfold and earplugs. A Zentai will propably excite me even much more, it's really difficult to fall asleep when you are all excited. If I ejaculate before trying to sleep or while wearing the hood (hoping to get sleep later without taking the hood off in between) everything just starts to feel too silly and I have to remove the hood.
Possible solutions: Being dead-tired before even trying, exercise. Very light usage of alcohol. Ejaculating a hour before sleeping or so. I would also like to have a speaking clock(!) so I could check the time when I'm blindfolded.

Breathing
Even if the hood would be easy to breathe trough while you are awake, I think that te brain still notices that the breathing is a bit heavier than normal and wakes me up.
Possible solutions: holes in my hood is a big no-no, so again: thinner fabric. I have noticed that breathing hard for a minute against a pillow will make breathing trough the zentai feel like a fresh breeze. But just for a moment.

There's something on my face!
I think humans have an instinct to wake up if something is over their face, or at least they are trying to remove it. If I have tried to sleep with an easily removable hood and managed to fall asleep, I have many times removed the hood while sleeping.
Possible solutions: Loose-fitting hood, thin and elastic fabric. A hood that is hard to remove without being awake (see the leotard zentai in my previous post). Wearing bondage mittens or such to make the removal of the hood more difficult.

Drool
Sometimes I drool when i sleep. Normally without a hood I feel the drool and just turn the other way around in my sleep. But when I drool wearing a hood turning will not help and I will wake up all yucky.
Possible solutions: I can't think of any such that could still allow opening my mouth normally.

There must be some other problems that I can't remember just now...

Something about me

Even if I wrote a FAQ, I'm still a Zentai virgin.

I'm a 30 year old single straight male. English is not my native language, I hope my bad english doesn't distract you from reading my scribblings. I have all my life been interested in tight clothing and masks, and found zentai already in the 90s. I have experimented with pantyhose, stocking masks, lycra hoods etc, but never had a "real" zentai.

Now I finally had the money, time and courage to order myself a couple of zentai suits.

I have plans for spending longer periods in zentai, for example a 24 hours stretch would be nice (only with some quick food & toilet breaks). One of the suits that I ordered is a zentai leotard with crotch snaps, of course with matching tights. It's not a very manly piece of clothing, but you can have toilet breaks (both number one and two) without having to remove the mask or without having an uncomfortable crotch zip. I also like the idea that you can't really get it off very fast...

These images are from Bodyweaver.com, I ordered my suits from Dhya-shop.

One of my goals is to be able to sleep wearing a zentai. I have tried this with different hoods, but I have always been to distracted or excited to fall asleep for longer periods. I want to wake up in a zentai, rested.

If you have something to say, be not afraid to drop some comments :)

Zentai (mini)FAQ

Q: What's a Zentai?
A: Zentai is a tight-fitting catsuit made of stretchy lycra (spandex) fabric that covers the entire body, also the face. A suit that doesn't cover the head is called a Catsuit. Zentai comes most likely from japanese word Zenshin Taitsu, that means "full-body tights".

Q: Why would anyone want to wear one?
A: As we people are different, we also like zentai for different reasons, some sexual, some sensual, some "artistic". Here are some:
  • The feeling of being totally enclosed and separated from the rest of the world. A slight claustrophobic feeling that can be by some experienced as very pleasant.
  • Heightened awareness of your own body as the compression of the fabric "massages" you from every part at the same time.
  • Smoothness. Feeling smooth and slippery all over your body is interesting and feels sexy.
  • Anonymity/masking/transformation. Sense of becoming someone or something else. Zentai will make you able to show all curves of your body but still remaining anonymous. Many enjoy the new "simplified" self when wearing zentai: no blemishes, bodyhair etc.
  • D/s aspect. Many zentai wearers describe wearing zentai to cause a "submissive" overall feeling, some feel strong and dominant. Many enjoy different forms of bondage while wearing zentai.
  • Visual & artistic effect. Zentai makes a great costume base for performance art, dance acts, masquerades and carnivals.
  • Pyjamas. Many people feel the hood too distracting or exciting for sleeping, but those who have managed to sleep in zentai say they sleep better in zentai than without.
  • Some people with autism-related sensory issues may find the sensory effect of zentai calming.
Q: How do you breathe in a suit like that?
A: Since Zentai is made of fabric and not for example latex, you can breathe trough the mask quite easily. The basic shiny zentai suit is often made of nylon/lycra blend, a similiar fabric to what is used for swimming suits and bike shorts. There are also different blends, for example cotton/lycra with a matte surface and a smoother feel. Some coated fabrics that can be harder to breathe trough (for example Zentai suits with metallic colors or PVC coating)

Q: No eye holes! How can you see?
A: You can see while wearing a zentai, enough to do simple taks. The quality of vision is relative to the thickness and color of the fabric. Generally speaking dark colors gives you better vision. The quality of light plays also a large role, soft and diffuse light makes seeing easier (compared to harsh spotlights). Coated fabrics can make seeing quite hard.

Q: How do you get into a suit like that?
A: The basic zentai has a zipper in the back. There are many variants tho, for example suits with zippers in the inseams of the legs, or zentai leotards that have snaps in the crotch. Because zentai is made of fabric, they can be designed in numerous ways and there are companies that can sew almost anything you can imagine.

Q: You Zentai people are a bunch of weirdos!
A: That wasn't even a question, but I'll still try to answer you. Yes, we may be weirdos, but who is "normal"? Some people like to wear t-shirts or sneakers, we like to wear Zentai suits. It's really just a piece of clothing. Compared to many really bad things happening in the world wearing a zentai is a quite harmless "hobby".

Q: I want to know more!
A: Ayus-Zentai is a great resource mainly for its forum.
